About The Position

We are looking for a Spanish MYP Middle School Teacher who will serve as a homeroom teacher and teach other MYP subjects. Our school welcomes teachers who are ready to learn, contribute and collaborate together in order to co-create a curriculum that is significant, relevant, engaging and challenging. Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in subject area(s), Master’s degree is highly desired.
• Minimum of three (3) years middle school teaching experience
• Experience in an IB School, Independent School or International Teaching experience strongly preferred
• A valid teaching certification (or equivalent)
• Fluent in English (able to successfully attend workshops, read professional information and work collaboratively in the language.)
• Full professional fluency in Spanish
• Experience in a 1:1 student device environment
• Experience teaching with Apple learning technologies and Google Workspace
• Desire to participate in co-curricular activities that are occasionally outside of regular school hours

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging, student-centered lesson plans that encourage critical thinking and creativity.
• Create a positive and supportive classroom environment that promotes student engagement and collaboration.
• Assess student learning and provide regular feedback to support student growth and development.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a strong home-school connection.
• Stay current with education research best practices, and continuously reflect on and improve teaching practices.
• Collaborate with colleagues to design and implement interdisciplinary units of study that connect multiple subjects and real-world issues.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to further personal and professional growth.
• Participate in occasional evening and afterschool obligations, including prep, admissions, ambassador support, parent education, and community building events.
