About The Position

Supervises and coordinates registration and prior authorizations for Shannon. Responsibilities include oversight for all day-to-day registration, authorization and referrals, resolution of denials, productivity reports, monitoring team members work ques, and cross training while maintaining good rapport and leadership support with team members. Creates schedules that keep everyone busy with deadlines to prevent gaps or downtime while giving direction and feedback about what needs improvements. Works to devise and implement strategies to enhance overall operations, registration and IAS procedures, patient satisfaction, and team member satisfaction of the Registration and PAR department with the support and direction of the Registration Manager, Director, and Administrative Director. The ability to perform the duties and responsibility of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations for disabilities. The ability to consistently lift, push or pull loads of up to fifty (50) pounds. (Unless nursing 50) Sufficient strength, mobility and stamina to make frequent location and position changes, assist with patient care, and perform other physical activities of average difficulty.   • Adheres to established policies on privacy and security requirements for compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), as applicable by Shannon Policy.
