The Construction Inspector - Building/General performs on-site construction inspections and monitors construction operations to ensure compliance with work plans and contract specifications for major construction projects for the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority (MWAA). Serves in the Construction Department of the Office of Engineering, located at Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD) or Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA). Oversees and inspects construction projects to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, building codes, and safety regulations. This role involves reviewing contractor work, monitoring construction progress, identifying potential issues, and providing detailed reports. The inspector collaborates with contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to address construction challenges and ensure quality standards are met. Additionally, monitors, performs coordination, inspects, and reports on Capital Construction Program (CCP) projects and large projects funded by the Capital, Operating and Maintenance Investment Program (COMIP). Performs related functions.
