About The Position

The Bay Area Activism Manager’s goal is to be the professional Activism resource for the region, leading all civic engagement and fighting antisemitism activities and efforts on the ground, in the activism committees, training sessions in the community, events, online campaigns, and local mobilization efforts. The IAC Activism manager position must sustain close relationships with members of the national Activism team, the local stakeholders in the region, and partner communities & organizations in the pro-Israel space. This is a 15-hour-per-week position, and the IAC Activism Manager will report to the IAC Bay Area Regional Director.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Action-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strategic and creative thinker with strong problem-solving and innovative planning abilities.
  • Proven project management experience, including successful execution of complex initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of the pro-Israel activism landscape and community mobilization.
  • Experience in public speaking and facilitating group engagement.
  • Excellent verbal and presentation skills; strong writing abilities are an advantage.
  • Ability to work collaboratively under pressure with flexibility for occasional evenings and weekends.
  • Fluent in Hebrew and English - able to speak, read, and write.

Responsibilities

  • Create an engaged activist community through events, workshops, speakers, and mobilization efforts.
  • Recruit, cultivate, and expand a local community of volunteers by engaging and converting training participants into active pro-Israel advocates.
  • Monitor the region for antisemitism and anti-Israel behavior and mobilize the community accordingly.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable resource to community members in need, attend Israel-related events, and provide support and strategic consultation when needed.
  • Manage strategic partnerships and coalitions.
  • Establish new relationships with Jewish Day Schools, campuses, synagogues, community groups, and other pro-Israel organizations.
  • Participate in both local and national team efforts to achieve organizational goals.
  • Lead national projects within the Activism team.
  • Set up, plan, and coordinate calendar and meetings.
  • Conduct research, compile data, and prepare documents for consideration.
  • Create and modify reports, memos, letters, and responses to correspondence containing routine inquiries.
