Job Summary This role is responsible for processing complex individual annuity transactions throughout the full policy lifecycle, including new business, distributions, claims, accounting, tax reporting, and legal document review. The position partners closely with technical specialists and leaders to resolve day‑to-day operational issues, ensure accuracy in policy servicing, and support continuous improvement efforts. Work includes handling a high volume of detailed transactions, completing quality assessments, preparing reporting, and participating in model office testing.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 3+ years of experience in financial services or insurance, including exposure to individual annuities.
  • Ability to interpret and apply accounting principles, technical information, and legal documentation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of insurance industry software and basic accounting/math.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Experience supporting tax reporting processes.
  • Familiarity with policy administration systems and suitability requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Process complex annuity transactions from application through claim, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Review applications and legal documents for completeness, suitability, and adherence to State and Federal guidelines.
  • Perform accounting-related tasks to calculate and process distributions and claim payments.
  • Support accurate tax reporting and serve as a subject matter expert for tax-related processes.
  • Research and communicate complex policy, financial, tax, and legal information to policy owners, agents, and beneficiaries.
