The iPad hardware team in Austin, TX is seeking motivated engineers to tackle significant challenges in hardware design. This unique position encompasses the entire product lifecycle, starting from concept development to mass production. As a member of the system electrical engineering team, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of iPad products, impacting millions of users globally. Your responsibilities will include electrical design, simulation, bring-up, debugging, and validation of iPads, ensuring that the products meet high standards of quality and performance. In this role, you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineering, software, silicon engineering, and various module teams such as wireless, battery, camera, sensing, display, and factory test. This collaborative environment will require you to communicate effectively and work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. You will also provide factory build support and may have opportunities for international travel, enhancing your experience and exposure to global engineering practices. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles, with a focus on both analog and digital design. You will be expected to demonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to present your ideas and findings clearly to your peers and stakeholders. Your hands-on experience in a lab environment, utilizing tools such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers, will be crucial for success in this role.
