About the position

The Hardware Engineering Program Manager (HW EPM) will lead multi-functional teams in the development of iPad Systems and Input devices, focusing on the planning, release, and delivery of flex boards and main logic PCB subsystems. This role requires a solid electrical engineering background to effectively communicate cross-functional issues and risks, ensuring successful product development through various life cycle stages.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-functional development teams for the main logic PCBA.
• Manage and track development schedules, identifying and prioritizing project tasks and risks.
• Drive deliveries and issues with global suppliers, integrating their work and schedules into the project.
• Communicate status and the big picture to the project team and management.
• Plan and execute product prototype builds, including materials planning and factory readiness.
• Manage the internal design review process and release to vendors.
• Review design changes with cross-functional teams and manage vendors and materials.
• Establish daily build schedule and distribution plan for identified builds to support overall project plan.
• Act as the primary point of contact for the program with CM partners, providing clear direction on requests to the factory.

Requirements

• BS degree in Engineering required, Electrical Engineering preferred.
• 3+ years experience in hardware engineering or operations program management.
• Proven ability to effectively manage factory build events and vendors.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with portable consumer electronics devices.
• Experience with PCBA design, layout, or DFM.
• Additional ME / Mechatronics background is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
