About The Position

Culture & Identity Fellows serve as representatives for the Culture & Identity (C&I) component of the MOSAIC Center and support students in discussing and navigating issues of diversity, self-representation, and inclusion on campus. They will serve as a resource for the MOSAIC Center for diversity, equity, and social justice related issues, organize Culture & Identity-focused programming directed at the general student population, and develop and participate in in-class workshops relating to MICA's DEIG goals.

Requirements

• Must be a currently enrolled MICA sophomore, junior, or senior undergraduate or graduate student at the time of employment.
• Have existing experience in student leadership positions.
• Experienced in event/program facilitation.
• Comfortable with discussing issues of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Globalization, and intersectionality.
• Must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 throughout the time of their employment as a Culture & Identity Fellow.
• The sincere desire to support Culture & Identity events at MICA.
• Commit to one-year employment (fall and spring semesters).

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in organizing large events.
• Graphic Design knowledge.
• Experience with facilitating critique and/or group discussions.

Responsibilities

• Organizing and supporting C&I programs.
• Participating in in-class workshops related to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Globalization.
• Curate & organize the Fall Culture & Identity Exhibition.
• Supporting the Spring Annual Benefit Fashion Show (ABFS).
• Maintaining a minimum of three (3) weekly office hours, with a maximum of 10 hours per week.
• Attend biweekly meetings with supervisor.
• Attend biweekly team meetings on Wednesdays 2:30 - 4:00 pm.
• Attend Summer Training and New Student Orientation.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Benefits

• 3-10 hrs/week from August 2025-May 2026.
• $15 per hour.
