The IIoT Technical Support Specialist at VEGA Americas is responsible for providing technical support and troubleshooting for customers using the VEGA Inventory System and related IIoT hardware and software. This role involves remote commissioning of sensors and gateways, monitoring customer engagement, and acting as a subject matter expert for internal teams. The position requires a strong customer service orientation and technical expertise in IIoT solutions.

  • Commission VIS-connected sensors and gateways remotely, including sensor settings, gateway settings, and portal settings.
  • Provide troubleshooting for VIS customers with sensor and gateway-related issues.
  • Review customer portals periodically to assess quality and customer utilization of data, ensuring customer engagement with VIS.
  • Act as a technical subject matter expert in VEGA Inventory System and other IIoT hardware and software for various internal groups.
  • Facilitate the submission and collection of customer forms and data necessary for portal startup, sensor and gateway commissioning, and customer training.
  • Monitor support inbox, manage incoming inquiries, and delegate to team members as necessary.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Customer service experience.
