About The Position

- The position will perform installation, maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, repairs, and system development for all systems including motor controls, distributive controls, PLC's communication systems. The role is essential in ensuring the operational efficiency and reliability of upstream instrumentation and control systems at IRON HORSE TOOLS INC.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in the installation, maintenance, and repair of instrumentation and electrical systems.
  • Experience with upstream instrumentation, including flow meters, transmitters, sensors, analyzers, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Proven track record of troubleshooting and calibrating a variety of instrumentation and electrical systems.
  • Strong understanding of motor controls, distributive controls, and PLC communication systems.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical diagrams and schematics.
  • Ability to perform system development and modifications for instrumentation and electrical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and convey technical information clearly.

Nice To Haves

  • technical certification in Instrumentation or Electrical Technology is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Instrumentation and Electrical (I & E) support for various upstream operations.
  • Install, inspect, troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and calibrate a wide variety of upstream instrumentation, including but not limited to flow meters, transmitters, sensors, analyzers, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
  • Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on instrumentation and control systems to ensure optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to instrumentation and control systems promptly to minimize downtime.
  • Assist in the development and improvement of system controls and communication systems.
  • Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure seamless operations and project completion.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and calibrations performed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all maintenance and repair activities.
  • Continuously update knowledge and skills related to instrumentation and electrical systems to stay current with industry advancements.
