Overview Installs and maintains electrical and instrument equipment in compliance with all rules and practices. Tests and repairs electrical and instrumentation systems utilized by production equipment to ensure adherence to established performance levels and product quality. Evaluates electrical systems and instruments to establish plans for repair. Documents and verifies problems and actions taken. Responsibilities Participate in installing all instrumentation and electrical components safely. Troubleshoot problems with control systems and complex equipment associated with gas receipts and turbines; generators, process plants, dehydration, control, and pump stations; and gas chromatography. Run conduit, pull wire, change motors, and maintain lighting systems and basic motor controls. Maintain advanced monitoring devices (gas, flame, or fire detectors, vibration, and temperature monitors). Read P&ID and electrical diagrams and other complex electrical drawings; interpret and update plant electrical diagrams. Install, troubleshoot, and maintain end devices, alarms, shutdown systems, process controls, variable frequency drives, air/fuel controllers, panel boards, etc. Perform preventative and general maintenance on electronic and pneumatic equipment and parts associated with this equipment. Qualifications 1+ yrs. of Oil and Gas I&E experience required. Experience with water wells or water transfer pumps a plus. High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
