I & E Technician
About The Position
Clean Harbors is searching for a licensed, reliable and safety oriented I&E Technician to join our Deer Park, TX team! The Electrical and Instrumentation Technician will be responsible for performing hands-on instrument checks, calibrations, and PLC Ladder Logic, along with diagnosing issues with control circuitry and assisting the electrical and maintenance departments with various tasks as needed. Requirements
- HS Diploma OR Equivalent required
- Texas Journeyman Electrician License, NCCER Industrial Electrician or Military Equivalent
- PLC Ladder Logic
- Experience reading blueprints, and electronic schematics
- Proficiency reading process and instrumentation diagrams (PIDs)
- Knowledge of Data Control Systems (DCS)
- Experience with 480v and below
- Lift up 50lb, climbing ladders, stooping, bending, standing for long periods of time
- Must be able to work in all weather conditions
Nice To Haves
- VFD (Variable Frequency Drive) Programming knowledge preferred
Responsibilities
- Ensures that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner
- Troubleshoots instrument and control malfunctions
- Performs preventative maintenance checks and calibrations
- Maintains accurate records and logs as required
- Installs new system controls (including power wiring)
- Installs cabling, power distribution systems, and motor control centers
- Services and replaces motors and lighting
- Performs general electrical maintenance
- Other duties as assigned
