Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Valid driver's license
Experience with electrical and instrumentation installation, troubleshooting, and repair.
Basic computer knowledge

Nice To Haves

Post-secondary education and/or technical trade certificate preferred
Additional experience in hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanics desired
Experience in operation of an ethanol plant, manufacturing, and production helpful
Ability to use and interpret phase testers, multi-meters, and meggers.
Operate drill press, grinder, and other metal working equipment desired
Experience in the repair of equipment such as pumps, gearboxes, airlocks, agitator assembles, piping systems, boiler operations, conveyers, etc.

Responsibilities

Remove, install, rebuild, lubricate, troubleshoot, repair, replace, and/or clean all equipment associated with plant processes
Perform preventative and proactive maintenance tasks in a safe and efficient manner
Perform inspections and adjustments on equipment
Fabricate and/ or modify new and existing equipment as needed
Discuss any problems or unsafe conditions with Maintenance Manager
Learn the plant process for a better understanding of how the equipment is utilized
Follow procedures for plant operation and safety
Assist in identifying safety hazards and/or regulatory compliance problems
Able to write and maintain detailed repair reports and other records
Learn and effectively use Computer Maintenance Management Software (CMMS)
