About The Position

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES General description of main/primary duties and responsibilities of the job, aptitude, level of complexity, span of control, autonomy, decision making and judgement. It is central and necessary to the satisfactory performance of the job. Includes the following and other duties as assigned. Under general supervision, this position will: Safely and efficiently install, configure, test, calibrate, operate, troubleshoot, maintain and inspect transmitters (I.e. Pressure/Level/Temperature/Flow). Troubleshoot and repair AC motor starters, variable frequency drives (VFD), control circuits and programmable logic controller (PLC) operations. Ensure proper Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures and safely isolate and de-energize equipment before performing work. Follow all the Safety, Health and Environmental policies, procedures and requirements ensuring personal safety, safety of others and safety of the surrounding area. Responsible for the installation and maintenance of electrical, electronic and pneumatic components, generator control panels and units, electric controlled pump units and burner management systems. Read and correctly interpret drawings, Product Service Manuals (PSM), Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID), schematics, sketches, and specs to troubleshoot and repair equipment. Routinely perform preventative maintenance. Accurately record all work orders, updates, maintenance and repair of equipment utilizing Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least four (4) years of Instrumentation & Electrical experience.
  • Safety minded with utmost concern for the well-being of others.
  • Proficient knowledge of process control, piping and instrument diagrams, signal flow diagrams, wiring diagrams, schematics, one-line drawings, loop sheets and wire lists.
  • Functional knowledge of SCADA system set up and understanding of how to add or remove field devices in the system.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and use/operation of standard office equipment.
  • Ability to keep heightened awareness when troubleshooting across multiple voltages. (I.e. Going from 24Vdc to 3 phase 480 Vac)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with internal and external staff.
  • Proficient troubleshooting skills with an ability to identify, isolate, and repair equipment or issues.
  • Able to be detail oriented, self-starter who can effectively work independently with minimal supervision while completing goals and tasks.
  • Possess good decision making and problem-solving skills to analyze information and choose the best solution.
  • Good collaborative and interpersonal skills.
  • Foster Teamwork: Work cooperatively and effectively with others to set goals, resolve problems and make decisions that enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Ability to safely operate vehicles, equipment, and tools.
  • Able to recognize and apply safety processes and procedures.
  • Possess valid driver’s license and clean driving record (MVR) that meet Company’s Insurance qualifications to operate Company vehicle.
