About The Position

The Instrumentation Technician role at Interstates involves providing services across the Central Minnesota Region, focusing on testing, calibrating, repairing, and modifying electrical and control instrumentation systems for plant production and process equipment. Requirements

• Strong level of experience working with low-voltage transmitters (4-20 miliamp), control loops, valves and valve controllers, motor controllers, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and manuals to isolate faults and repair equipment.
• Superior understanding of safety protocols and practices.
• Great communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Certificate or Associates in Instrumentation or similar preferred but not required.
• One year or more of service or maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Tests, calibrates, repairs, and modifies electrical and control instrumentation systems for plant production/process equipment.
• Troubleshoots and repairs PLC hardware panels including wiring and power supplies.
• Coordinates with plant operators to schedule outages for electrical and instrumentation repair/calibration.
