About The Position

The Instrumentation & Electrical Technician will be based out of Borger, Texas and is responsible for safe operations and maintenance of Company pipeline assets. The position will calibrate and inspect process control equipment, conduct routine pipeline maintenance, eliminate, and report product leaks, seeps, and spills, as well as assist with construction, maintenance, and mechanical integrity projects on the pipeline. The position will maintain operator qualifications and record documentation in accordance with all applicable DOT and OSHA regulations to ensure compliance. This position requires the successful completion of an online assessment. Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Maintain a valid driver's license
  • Currently live or be willing to relocate to within 30 miles of the reporting location
  • Willingness and ability to perform and comply with following, with or without reasonable accommodations: To climb up to 50 feet using both inclined and vertical steps/ladders, To lift up to 45 pounds, To bend, kneel, knee stand and squat up to 30 minutes at a time, Sit and stand for prolonged periods over 2 hours at a time according to job demands, To respond to emergency calls as needed and work overtime on an as needed basis, To work outside in harsh weather conditions, To work with hydrocarbons that are under high pressure and heat; work with chemicals and bases, To wear personal protective equipment (such as fire-retardant clothing, steel-toe shoes, head, ear, and eye protection)

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's degree in Electrical maintenance, Instrumentation, or Industrial Electronics
  • 2 year or more of instrumentation and electrical experience in industrial environment
  • 4 years or more experience with digital and analog circuitry
  • 4 years or more experience with one-line drawings and instrument/electrical schematics
  • 4 years or more experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs
  • 4 years or more experience with Rosemount Transmitters
  • 4 years or more experience with OMNI flow computers and VFD's
  • Experience with truck loading terminals and tank automation

Responsibilities

  • Calibrating and documenting DOT regulated devices.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshooting for pipeline and terminal assets.
  • Maintaining I/E skills by attending training sessions and on-the-job training.
  • Maintaining records, including prints and project reports.
  • Motor (up to 4160 volt) and transformer maintenance.
  • VFD/soft start and switchgear maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • PLC and HMI maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Assisting measurement technicians with installations and troubleshooting.
  • Responding to emergencies and participate in emergency response.
  • Supervising, directing, and training contractor crews.
  • Completing and maintaining required safety/regulatory training.
  • Analyzer maintenance and calibrations.
