About The Position

The Advario Texas City Complex is looking for a talented I & E Tech who can provide day to day maintenance support for the entire Texas City Complex. This position will work independently and with other plant personnel to perform preventative, predictive and routine maintenance tasks. They will perform inspections, troubleshoot issues, repair failures of production and facility equipment, and ensure maximum equipment efficiency and effectiveness. All tasks will be performed while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the company.

Requirements

  • Ability to perform the electrical and I/E responsibilities to ensure safety, efficiency and quality goals are achieved.
  • Knowledge and ability to work with electricity up to 12,470V.
  • Knowledge of PLC wiring, function, and logic.
  • Vapor recovery system knowledge.
  • Instrumentation calibration experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of instrumentation controls, including PID function.
  • Ability to understand and follow electrical schematic drawings.
  • Ability to read and understand P&IDs.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Must be able to work in stressful situations.
  • Maintain a clean work place.
  • Critical Thinking - Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
  • Excellent judgment and decision making; considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions to choose the most appropriate one.
  • Improve operating discipline by holding individuals accountable for following procedures and working safely at all times.
  • Intermediate level of Microsoft applications. (MS Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, and Outlook.)
  • Effective written and oral communications.
  • High School Graduate or GED.
  • Associate Degree or technical certifications.
  • At least 7 years’ maintenance experience at an Oil and Gas facility.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Proficiency in English is required for effective communication and job performance.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
  • Must pass and complete Safety training/certification as required by company to access facility.
  • Must obtain and maintain a Transportation Workers Identification Card (TWIC).
  • The successful candidate will be required to pass a drug screening and complete a background check after an offer has been extended and before starting employment.
  • Ability and willingness to perform/comply with following items, with or without reasonable accommodation: Ability to climb various ladders and stairs typically ranging up to 100 feet in height, using the proper safety equipment Ability to work in confined spaces and in elevated work areas. Frequently required to stand, walk, climb, and maintain crouching or kneeling positions for extended periods. Ability to raise 75 pounds and transport articles weighing up to 50 pounds. Ability to wear personal protective equipment, such as flame-retardant clothing, eye protection, ear protection, steel-toed boots, hard hat, etc. Must be medically approved to wear a respirator.
  • This position is subject to random drug and alcohol testing in compliance with company policy and applicable laws.
  • Must be willing to work in outdoor environment for extended periods of time during inclement weather.
  • Requires turning and tightening nuts and bolts lifting to 50 pounds at times.
  • Able to handle working with chemicals, acids and petroleum products and be around vapors with respiratory protection

Nice To Haves

  • Previous chemical, refining, or terminal experience preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge in working with high voltage electricity and instrumentation in midstream operations.
  • Scada system experience.
  • Wonderware experience.
  • Tank Gauging Systems, Rosemont Tankmaster Preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the terminal in a safe and efficient manner while complying with all regulations, terminal policies and procedures.
  • Support plant operations through the repair and maintenance of plant machinery and equipment such as pumps, valves, and other mechanical equipment.
  • Maintain the plant preventative maintenance systems and complete required preventative maintenance tasks to ensure safety and operations efficiency needs meet Advario North America standards.
  • Maintain equipment files on plant assets to assist in development of the Terminals preventive maintenance program.
  • Manage weekly schedule of personal workload to make efficient use of time and maintain productivity.
  • Participate in plant safety, health, and environmental programs.
