The position is responsible for improving process controls reliability and ensuring continuous improvement of instrumentation and controls across various locations. The role involves responding to and resolving instrumentation and control issues, managing the development and troubleshooting of instrumentation and control systems, and ensuring consistency between locations while meeting corporate expectations and standards. The individual will also be tasked with developing instrumentation installation drawings, data sheets, and specifications in compliance with recognized industry and safety standards. Additionally, the role includes assisting in the technical development of assigned plant project P&IDs, developing I & E project schedules, and providing support for the procurement of instrument items. A significant responsibility will be managing the conversion of DCS from PROVOX to Delta V and other software upgrades, ensuring that plants have the right personnel and training to operate and maintain the company's instrumentation and control systems, and maintaining a high degree of reliability in all controls, instrumentation, and emission monitoring systems. The position also requires developing programs to prevent accidents and maintain safe working conditions, as well as responding to emergency downtime situations or problems as they arise.
