About The Position

We are looking for an I&E Project Engineer to join our Catalyst team in McIntyre, GA. As a I&E Project Engineer, you create chemistry by leading and providing technical support for capital and expense projects associated with instrumentation and/or electrical to support the Edgar site in McIntyre, GA. You will be responsible for technical site support for issues associated with instrumentation & electrical equipment and processes, including Arc Flash, electrical substations, 480-volt breakers, Electrical Safe Work Permitting, process automation, and digitalization support. You will provide knowledge and expertise of Instrumentation & Controls engineering by specifying and troubleshooting Allen Bradley PLC platforms, creating and maintaining control systems that meet production requirements, performing tasks as necessary to achieve functionality and safety obligations, and maximizing system capability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 3 to 5 years of relatable experience.
  • Experience with Rockwell Automation (Allen Bradley) hardware.
  • Project management experience within CAPEX.
  • Experience working closely with reliability engineering on electrical reliability projects.
  • Knowledge in commissioning and decommissioning of electrical systems.
  • Experience with industrial Controls and HMI.
  • MSHA/LOTO experience.
  • Experience with electrical substation and power distribution for high or medium voltage systems.
  • Good knowledge of automation and process controls, including industrial medium voltage systems.
  • Experience with internal and external interaction, functional guidance, and leadership responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of industrial electrical equipment, design, codes, and specifications.
  • Understanding of NFPA70E.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and provide technical support for capital and expense projects associated with instrumentation and/or electrical.
  • Provide technical site support for issues associated with instrumentation & electrical equipment and processes.
  • Specify and troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLC platforms.
  • Create and maintain control systems that meet production requirements.
  • Perform tasks to achieve functionality and safety obligations.
