About The Position

We are looking for an I&E Planner to join our Performance Chemicals team in Savannah, GA. BASF’s Catalysts division is the global market leader in catalyst technologies, developing and producing mobile emissions catalysts, process catalysts, and offering precious metals trading, recycling, and related products and services. As an I&E Maintenance Planner, you will manage the Instrument and Electrical work order backlog by planning, scheduling, and coordinating services of planned maintenance activities to minimize costs and production downtime. In this role, you will determine the materials and manpower required for routine and major maintenance work to optimally utilize the resources in assigned areas.

Requirements

• Possess a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Hold vocational, trade, or apprentice training.
• Bring a minimum of five years of experience as an I&E craftsperson in an industrial environment.
• Demonstrate experience in maintenance planning and scheduling, preferably using SAP.
• Exhibit proficiency with computer systems and related software, including SAP, Microsoft Office Suite.
• Show strong interpersonal and communication abilities.

Nice To Haves

• Proficiency with Project is a plus.
• Maintain strong planning and organizational skills is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Analyze maintenance work requests for clarity on scope and requirements, leverage education and industrial I&E experience, communicate with request originators to clarify open points, and collaborate with users/customers to establish priorities.
• Visit the job site and plan jobs based on proven experience, including preparing written plans that define materials, special tools, craft sequence, and estimated time required.
• Build weekly and outage schedules in coordination with other crafts and operations teams.
• Track the progress of selected jobs, identify problem areas that delay work, propose solutions, and drive improvements to scheduled activities, including material checks; manage ordering and tracking of materials for planned jobs and expedite materials for emergency work as needed.
• Maintain records and apply predetermined time values, engineering standards, and work performance data using strong computer skills (particularly SAP); develop repetitive jobs and prepare job task descriptions and job plans, including work method sketches and special safety measures.
• Incorporate corporate safety policies into all job planning activities, demonstrating a strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Initiate and conduct meetings with maintenance and production personnel as required, effectively engaging stakeholders.
• Participate in root cause failure analyses and corrective actions for bad actors, applying strong knowledge of industrial plant operations related to I&E Maintenance.
