About The Position

We are looking for a I/E Planner to join our CI team in Geismar, LA. This role coordinates and plans all I&E maintenance activities. Responsibilities include managing unplanned work orders, generating job plans, preparing job packets for field execution, and improving plans based on feedback. During your 10-hour shift as a I/E Planner, you will develop and validate comprehensive job packets for instrumentation and electrical (I/E) maintenance tasks, ensuring all necessary tools, materials, and documentation are included. You will also create purchase requisitions and manage material logistics, including ordering, staging, and verifying availability of parts, tools, and consumables needed for planned jobs. Additionally, you will maintain and update Bills of Materials (BoMs) for I/E equipment and systems to support accurate inventory control and maintenance planning.

Requirements

  • Hold a High School Diploma or GED; Associate Degree in Instrumentation or Electrical preferred.
  • Possess 4+ years of instrumentation or electrical experience in chemical, petrochemical, or similar manufacturing environments.
  • Proficient in SAP.
  • Strong understanding of MoC processes and regulatory compliance.
  • Able to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and validate comprehensive job packets for instrumentation and electrical (I/E) maintenance tasks.
  • Create purchase requisitions and manage material logistics.
  • Maintain and update Bills of Materials (BoMs) for I/E equipment and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with Management of Change (MoC) procedures.
  • Interpret and analyze technical documentation such as P&IDs, electrical schematics, and drawings.
  • Maintain accurate records in SAP (CMMS).
  • Collaborate across disciplines to define job scopes and support root cause analysis.
