Austin Industrial is currently seeking a reliable and safety- focused I&E Electrician Helper to support daily warehouse operations in Pasadena, TX. This person will assist electrician in the assembly, installation, testing, and maintenance of electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools. Assist in the diagnosis of malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and assist in correcting the problem. This is accomplished by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Experience – 1 year experience as an I&E Helper in a chemical plant, industrial, or manufacturing warehouse environments.
High school diploma or equivalent
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks
Must pass all site‑required screenings and onboarding
Valid Driver’s License required
Consistent, reliable attendance
Must work well Independently, as well as with others.
Must be able to work Overtime as needed.
Ability to work at Heights, lifting and carrying up to 30lbs.
Good Communication Skills.

Responsibilities

Gathers tools and supplies to be used at the work site according to the instructions of the electrician.
Measures, cuts, and bends wire and conduit, using a ruler and hand tools.
Drills holes for wiring, using a power drill, and pulls or pushes wiring through the opening.
Trace out short circuits in wiring, using knowledge of wiring and test meter.
Assists in lifting, positioning, or fastening objects such as wiring, conduit, and motors.
Performs minor repairs, such as replacing fuses, light sockets, bulbs, and switches.
May disassemble defective electrical equipment, replace worn or defective parts and reassemble equipment.
Maintain current electrician's license or identification card to meet state regulations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
