About The Position

Acuren is currently recruiting for a remote Drone Operator for operations in Birmingham, AL.

Requirements

• Current FAA Part 107 Pilot
• Ensure all operations adhere to FAA regulations
• Working knowledge of substation and distribution power line systems and components
• Comfortable working independently with minimal direction
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues with docked drone system
• Ability to maintain accurate records of drone operations and inspections
• Superb attention to detail
• Ability to travel 25%

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with docked drone systems as well as command and control software
• ITC Level 1 Thermography Certification

Responsibilities

• Organize and report test results
• Perform specialized inspections
• May instruct and supervise others
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management
