A stable and reputable manufacturing company in Farmington, CT is looking for an experienced, reliable, and hands-on I.D. and O.D. Grinding and Surface Grinding Machinist to join our team. Requirements
- Machining: 3 years (Preferred)
- Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work overtime.
- Able to follow all established safety procedures and protocols.
- Working knowledge of GD&T, blueprints, and operation sheets
Responsibilities
- Must have experience with I.D. & O.D. grinding and surface grinding.
- Must have the ability to work in a team environment, to achieve customer and company goals.
- Meet productivity standards.
- Analyze work instructions, op-sheets, blueprints, and tooling requirements.
- Perform setups, including tooling, hardware and fixturing required for job.
- Perform routine quality checks and measurements, make necessary adjustments and/or offsets.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on the machines and maintain an organized and clean workspace.
- Contribute to continual manufacturing process improvement.
- Maintain company policies and practices for safe working standards.
- Maintain all safety procedures in accordance with OSHA
