About The Position

As an I&C Hardware Engineer you will work with the Westinghouse Parts Business (WPB), you will support the WPB Product group with a focus on I&C electrical products. Work with a team of engineers to support the hardware design and delivery of Instrumentation & Control (I&C) cabinets and associated electro-mechanical hardware components and subassemblies. Ensure that hardware designs and project documentation meet applicable system & quality requirements. Work with manufacturing operations to resolve issues, provide oversight, and ensure products are in accordance with build-to-print drawing packages and specifications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Knowledge of Computer Hardware, design drawings, and technical requirements

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review technical packages including drawings, specifications, and hardware requirements
  • Perform review of hardware design, review in the area of system architecture, cabinet layout, Bill of Material design, system cabling interface, custom panel and kit design, cabinet power design.
  • Work as part of a team including quality engineering, supply chain management, marketing, customer service, manufacturing and the supplier base
  • Provide support for SAP Material Master, Bill of Materials, and Routing maintenance. Additionally, support Engineering Change Order (ECO), Manufacturing Work Order (MWO), and RFQ/Sales Order review.
  • Develop and perform Commercial Dedication Instruction (CDI) documents
  • Work with engineering and shop operations teams to provide technical support on solution identification, obsolescence management, equipment qualification, product lifecycle and new product introduction
  • Support product marketing and sales efforts through offer development support, marketing materials updating / generation, and presentation material for both customers and WPB sales
  • Establish equipment setups/monitoring for seismic, environmental, and EMC tests.
  • Support resolution of technical issues including obsolescence
  • Support development of test procedures and execution of functional tests
