About The Position

The Hypo South Production Associate is responsible for safely operating equipment in their department and producing quality products according to documentation. This includes performing quality checks, changeovers, SAP data entries, and basic troubleshooting. The role ensures compliance with BD's quality systems, policies, procedures, best practices, and all local, state, federal, and BD safety regulations. Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function, and the associate must be willing and able to uphold BD Values.

Requirements

  • High School diploma/GED preferred
  • In lieu of High School diploma/GED, two years manufacturing experience is required
  • Work effectively on own, or in a team atmosphere – Proficient
  • Ability to maintain a neat, clean and orderly work area – Proficient
  • Willingness and ability to train others - Proficient
  • Teamwork – Proficient
  • Organization skills, detailed oriented – Basic
  • Regular, punctual attendance is an essential job function
  • Willing and able to uphold BD Values

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing experience
  • Previous experience with MES
  • Previous experience with precision measuring instruments

Responsibilities

  • Work as one of a team for maximum effectiveness and optimal task methods, which includes product inspection, operating equipment, raw material and finished goods movements and clean room area and equipment cleaning / sanitizing
  • Perform visual inspections
  • Perform basic troubleshooting of equipment
  • Perform changeovers, line clearance and cleaning
  • Achieve production rate and quality goals on assigned equipment
  • Facilitate continuous operation of the equipment through breaks
  • Perform rework
  • Cross train where needed within the department to support the business
  • Maintain all quality and GMP standards
  • Perform needed SAP data entries
  • May require the use of 10x microscope, calipers, and/or other miscellaneous gauges
  • Participate on blitz teams as assigned
  • Other duties as required to support the needs of the business
