Job Description Purpose & Scope: The job description of the Hyperbaric Technician is in accordance with the requirements of the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society (UHMS), The Joint Commission (TJC) and National Fire Protection Association (NFPA).

Requirements

6 months hyperbaric experience required; or, clinical experience, or EMS/Paramedic experience.
40-hour training at a UHMS approved course in Hyperbaric Team training or certification of same is on file.
Participates in Safety Director training within one year of employment.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
Certified Hyperbaric Technologist (CHT) by the NBDHMT preferred; or, 1 year employment and Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
