About The Position

This position administers hyperbaric treatments to patients under the supervision of a physician.

Requirements

  • BLS - Basic Life Support Required Equivalent Experience - Within 1 month of hire or transfer.
  • EMT-B - EMT Basic Required Equivalent Experience - Emergency Medical Technician (EMT-B, EMT-I, EMT-CC, EMT-P), Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse (LVN/LPN) certification in the state of Michigan. Other advanced medical certifications may also be considered.
  • HBT - Hyperbaric Technician Preferred Equivalent Experience - Hyperbaric certification preferred. Completion of RestorixHealth approved 40-hr HBO training course required
  • Education: High School Diploma Comments: or GED
  • 2 years of cumulative experience required.
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, as well asinterpersonal skills to enable communication and collaboration withphysician, patients, families and ancillary staff.
  • Excellent critical thinking skills and ability to make sound,independent clinical judgements.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Act professionally as a representative of the Company.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Prior experience with an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systempreferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Hyperbaric certification preferred.
  • Experience working with wound care patients is highly preferred.
  • In the event you work at a UHMS accredited center, you will berequired to be Hyperbaric certified.
  • Prior experience with an Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systempreferred.

Responsibilities

  • Operates and maintains hyperbaric chamber and associated systems and equipment as prescribed by a hyperbaric physician and under supervision of program director or clinical coordinator.
  • Monitors patients in the chamber and records patient condition. Ensures patient comfort and reports any unusual occurrences.
  • Maintains operating, maintenance and safety logs on hyperbaric equipment.
  • Keeps patient treatment records and collects data as required.
  • Provides outstanding customer service to patients, patient familymembers, referring physicians and coworkers.
  • Administer and uphold all the Company’s values and policies and procedures.
  • Continuously work towards the Company’s goal and vision.
  • Perform all other duties as directed as assigned within scope ofpractice and other unit related duties as assigned.
  • In the absence of a front desk coordinator, schedule patients forHBO therapy or wound care visit, utilizing hospitalsoftware/ systems as well as RXH’s EMR system may be required.
  • In the absence of a front desk coordinator, registration to beaccomplished and in accordance with hospital policy andsoftware/ systems requirements as well as RXH’s EMR system.
  • Participates in a rotating on-call schedule.
  • Travel to other local centers for coverage, training, etc. whenbusiness need warrants is required.
  • Overtime and schedule flexibility may be required to meet patientneeds.
  • Attends all training and company meetings as required.
