About The Position

HealthSource of Ohio is seeking a Hygiene Dental Assistant to join our team. As a not-for-profit community health center in Southwestern Ohio, we are dedicated to providing quality, patient-centered primary and preventative care for all. The Hygiene Dental Assistant will play a crucial role in ensuring that our patients receive the best care possible by competently operating standard dental equipment, verifying dental records, completing necessary paperwork, taking vital signs, and communicating effectively with patients and hygienists.

Requirements

• Completion of a Dental Assisting program preferred
• Certification in dental assisting preferred
• Ohio general operator’s license in radiology required

Responsibilities

• Competently operates standard dental equipment
• Correctly verifies all dental records for updates as needed
• Completes appropriate paperwork by patients
• Takes patient’s vital signs and any radiographs as needed for the exam
• Understands and accurately communicates instructions, information, and/or concepts according to the hygienist's orders
