About The Position

The Hydrovac Operator position at Badger involves operating hydrovac equipment to perform safe excavation tasks. The role requires attention to detail, a focus on safety, and the ability to work in various environments, including confined spaces. The operator will contribute to essential infrastructure projects by using high-pressure water and vacuum systems to uncover utilities and ensure efficient excavation processes.

Requirements

• Valid Class A or B CDL with Tanker endorsement; or willingness to obtain it.
• CPR/First Aid, Fall Protection and OSHA 10 certification preferred.
• Preferred experience driving a manual transmission (10-18 speed) without automatic restrictions.
• Ability to work variable shifts with extended hours.
• Must be willing to travel up to 25%.
• Must be able to lift, push, pull 50+ pounds and have the physical stamina for manual labor in varying weather conditions.
• Prior hydrovac equipment operation or related industrial experience preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Operating hydrovac equipment and performing hydrovac duties in various working environments, including confined spaces.
• Driving hydrovac trucks for 10-15% of total work time.
• Attending safety meetings to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Performing routine inspections and minor repairs of hydrovac equipment.
• Preparing work areas by setting up safety measures and addressing potential hazards.
• Documenting and reporting all Badger, Federal, State, and Customer paperwork accurately and efficiently.
