Requirements

  • Ability to work will in a fast paced environment to meet team expectations.
  • Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to understand and abide by all safety rules and regulations to perform the job.
  • Must have reading, writing and simple math skills.
  • Must be able to read blue prints.
  • 4-1 short circuit transfer GMAW. 1G Minimum (if applicable)
  • Must have either a High School diploma, GED, or at least 1 year working experience in an industrial based environment.
  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Associates to perform all safety checks at the start of their shift on all cranes and tools and document this as necessary. Continue to perform safety checks throughout the shift.
  • Hydrostatically tests tanks by plugging openings and filling each tank with water and pressure.
  • Visually check each tank for leaks and identifies leaks by marking the shell.
  • Properly and safely operate hydro test and pneumatic testing equipment.
  • Visually inspects tank’s fitting and brackets for proper welds. Hand stamps all tested tanks with assigned letter. Records required tank information on hydro data sheet, using the weld inspection report
  • Chips slag and welding from around fittings and brackets when tank is being filled with water. Notifies Supervisor when plastic plugs, O-rings and other materials reaches re-ordering points.
  • Holds necessary welding certification, as required to repair all manufactured products.
  • Attaches data plates as necessary.
  • Maintain and monitor the condition of testing equipment.
  • Maintain all appropriate paperwork relating to testing practices.
  • Preforms housekeeping and other related duties.
  • Material handling – operation of cranes, hoist, and forklifts when necessary. Also successfully complete any training/safety program relating to the operation of the equipment.
