About The Position

The Technical Instructor II is responsible for providing specialized technical training to internal and external customers on Mitsubishi Electric Trane HVAC US (METUS) systems offered and related software packages with a focus on domestic hot water and hydronic systems. The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to the following: Provide technical training for internal and external customers both on-site and in METUS training centers. Setup, configure and maintain training equipment and information libraries. As a Subject Matter Expert, aid in the development and maintenance of new courses and course materials. Interface with field-deployed staff to maintain up-to-date knowledge levels on how METUS hydronic products are being deployed across the country. Conduct on-site assessments of customers' installation and maintenance functions to determine needs for follow-up training. Provide backup technical support for internal and external customers when required. Assist with the training and qualification process for internal and external Authorized Trainers. Assist with design, layout, equipment selection and periodic inspection of Mitsubishi Authorized Training Centers (MATC). Provide back-up technical support for internal and external customers when required. Aid in the development and maintenance of new courses and course materials. Willing to travel up to 40% to for various Company meetings and training both domestically and possibly internationally. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or a minimum of five years technical experience in the HVAC field.
  • 2 years of experience in formal technical training delivery.
  • 3 years of experience in the design, installation and service of residential and commercial hydronics based HVAC heating and cooling systems and applications.
  • Strong understanding of hydronics based HVAC systems, components, and related controls systems for both chilled water and hot water.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting complex electronic, hydronic and refrigerant HVAC or similar systems.
  • Highly enthusiastic and energetic person capable of building and maintaining customer interest during training.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, and through formal presentations.
  • Ability to translate complex thoughts and ideas and communicate them in an easy-to-understand form.
  • Ability to work independently with little direct daily supervision, to adapt quickly to changes in goals and objectives, and show a strong sense of personal accountability.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word and other Office365 products.
  • Team player demonstrating METUS core values including a desire to win together, deliver excellence, drive sustainability, focus on execution and learn continuously.
