About The Position

Kimley-Horn is seeking a Hydrogeologist with 4+ years of experience to join their Fort Myers, Florida (FL) office! This is not a remote position.

Requirements

• 4+ years relevant experience
• Bachelors or Masters in Geology
• Ability to be licensed as a Professional Geologist
• Strong knowledge of state and local environmental regulations
• Experience with aquifer performance testing and data analysis
• Experience working with water management district staff
• Strong technical writing skills and experience writing detailed technical reports
• Ability to work in both an office environment and in the field
• Willingness and flexibility to travel for projects as needed
• Strong sense of urgency and self-initiative to meet client deadlines
• Desire to provide exceptional client service
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and on a team
• Experience with water use permitting rules and regulations
• Practical experience with geographic information systems (GIS), specifically ArcGIS

Responsibilities

• Support various assessment and water supply projects, including well design, permitting, and services during construction, along with groundwater resource investigations
• Mentor staff within a team for completion of soil and groundwater sampling
• Conduct aquifer performance testing and data evaluation
• Perform groundwater modeling
• Ensure environmental compliance
• Observe well construction activities
• Write reports and coordinate with agencies for permitting
