About The Position

In this role, you will identify, develop and commercialize new technologies and processes for hydrogen production. Also, you will improve the competitiveness of new hydrogen plants and increase the productivity of existing hydrogen plants. Conduct process simulations and techno-economic analyses to evaluate the impact of new concepts. Experimentally validate the performance of new technologies at the bench and pilot-scale. In addition, you will participate in commercial-scale field demonstrations. Collaborate globally with key internal stakeholders from R D, Engineering, Business, Operations, etc. You will interact effectively with external parties, such as technology partners, funding agencies, vendors and contractors. Clearly document and communicate work via internal reports and effective presentations to senior management. Additionally, you will defend and grow Linde's intellectual property in the hydrogen area.

Requirements

  • PhD in Chemical Engineering
  • Relevant experience in an industrial and/or R D environment
  • Experience with technologies for the generation of clean, low carbon intensity, blue or green hydrogen, such as solvent-based CO2 capture or electrolysis
  • Deep subject matter expertise in catalysis, reactor engineering, process optimization, heat transfer, separations, gas absorption and/or electrolysis
  • Experience in safely devising and conducting hydrogen-related experiments at the bench and/or pilot-scale
  • Experience deploying a new technology in a commercial plant environment
  • Advanced process and/or unit operation modelling skills, beyond basic simulation packages such as UniSim, Aspen, etc.
  • Familiarity with coding languages such as Python, Visual Basic, C++, etc.
  • Occasional travel domestically and internationally (< 10-15%)
