About The Position

This is a non-telework position located in Pearblossom, California. Under the direction of the Hydroelectric Plant Maintenance Superintendent, the Hydroelectric Plant Mechanical Supervisor plans, organizes and controls the maintenance, repair and reconditioning of all electrical installations and performs routine mechanical repair and reconditioning within the facilities of the Southern field Division. May perform administrative tasks in SAP such as time reports, program reports, requisitioning, work order notifications and other SAP functions. This position provides support to the Planner/Scheduler. You will find additional information about the job in the Duty Statement. You will find the Minimum Requirements in the Class Specification.

Requirements

  • Must have a valid California Class C license as incumbent will be required to operate automotive vehicles on public roadways; travel to remote areas within the field division is necessary to perform the requirements of this position.
  • Under the provisions of the North American Electric Reliability Corporation Critical Infrastructure Protection Standard CIP-004 as part of the Energy Policy of 2005, this position has authorized cyber access to or unescorted physical access around critical cyber assets and is subject to a satisfactory background check prior to appointment and every seven years thereafter.

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates with the knowledge and skills in electrical maintenance and repair work on hydroelectric generating and pumping plant equipment with experience as a Hydroelectric Plant Electrician II (or similar), Supervisor, or Lead experience, and knowledge in working with hydropower or generating/pumping plants.
  • Project Management experience is ideal as well as SAP (or similar) experience.
  • Knowledge in OSHA/NEC/Safety procedures is essential.
  • The ideal candidate will be a collaborative and supportive team player who can also effectively work independently, demonstrate initiative and be a self-starter.
  • Candidate should also possess the ability to work effectively with others to promote a positive work environment.
