Temp Hydroblast / Vacuum Technicians – Level 1 TKO Construction Services is a nationally recognized staffing firm supporting clients across the United States. We are in immediate need of motivated Hydroblast / Vacuum Technicians – Level 1, to provide support for projects located in the Peoria IL area. The Level 1 Hydroblast / Vacuum Technician will perform a wide range of physically strenuous activities that require the strength and flexibility to carry, handle, position, move and manipulate materials and equipment. The operation of vehicles, mechanized devices, or running equipment may be required. Our Hydroblaster Vacuum Technician’s work week is never typical, we often work when companies and plants are on shut-down and in off-shifts. The opportunities we have pays $15 an hour, based on your experience and skill level. We have long-term temporary and temporary to hire positions available. We pay weekly, giving you quick access to your hard-earned paycheck. Requirements

  • Ability to read and write
  • Ability to pass medical screening and drug test (pre-employment, random, and annual)
  • Ability to perform duties in accordance with training and standard operating procedures.
  • Ability to physically control a 10,000-psi industrial hydroblasting and vacuum equipment.
  • Ability to wear Hydroblast PPE, including a wetsuit, metatarsal foot protection, face shields, rubber gloves and more,
  • Ability to work long hours (>8+ hours).
  • Ability to bend, stoop, squat and sit without accommodation.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior OSHA safety training is preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensure health and safety is the number one goal by following all policies, processes and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Basic ability to operate high-pressured water-blaster and vacuum equipment.
  • Ensures proper use of the equipment and immediately notify supervisor of any mechanical failure or problem of equipment.
  • Assists with the implementation of worksite protection, by means of barricades, warning signs or cones.
  • Assists in identifying all electrical equipment along with anything else that could be damaged from pressurized water.
  • Performs industrial maintenance work, including vacuuming industrial waste and/or materials (solids, sludge and liquids) and water blasting to clean various surfaces.
  • Confirms that all fitting and hoses have the correct pressure rating and are in good condition.
  • Confirms that all nozzles are unplugged and in good operating condition.
  • Identify and reports any leaks or malfunctioning equipment.
  • Shall stop work: If a leak occurs, or equipment is damaged or malfunctions, if there is a change in conditions, or any new hazard is introduced.
  • Assists in flushing all hydro-blast components.
  • Assists in verifying that all shotguns, foot pedals and or other control devices are operational and safe.
  • Wear and properly use personal protective equipment (PPE.) This includes but not limited to respirators, skin, face, hand, and foot protection in a multiple number of combinations.
  • May periodically use computers for training purposes.
  • Ensures that tasks are performed safely with the highest level of quality.
  • Effectively communicate with supervisors on areas such as safety, quality, and integrity.
  • Hydroblast technicians are to be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
