The Opportunity We’re looking for a Senior Hydraulics Engineer to join our Product Development team in Alachua. In this role, you’ll lead the design and development of hydraulic systems for heavy mining equipment, helping shape the future of surface drilling technology. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-performance solutions that meet customer needs and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (mechanical, hydraulic, or related) with at least one prior internship or co-op experience in manufacturing or mining.
  • OR Master’s degree in engineering (mechanical, hydraulic, or related)
  • Strong grasp of fluid mechanics, load interactions, and hydraulic circuit design.
  • Proficiency in CAD and engineering analysis tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Hydraulic system design and maintenance in heavy equipment or industrial machinery is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop hydraulic systems for rotary drill rigs and related equipment.
  • Provide hands-on technical support and troubleshooting for hydraulic systems.
  • Conduct system testing, inspections, and performance evaluations.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and controls engineers to integrate hydraulics into complete machine designs.
  • Analyze data and create models to prototype and validate new hydraulic concepts.
  • Support internal teams and customers with training and technical documentation.
  • Ensure designs meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
