About The Position

The Hydraulic Technician at Kundinger, Inc. is responsible for building hydraulic power units, troubleshooting hydraulic systems, and assembling various hydraulic components. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read and interpret engineering specifications and blueprints. The technician will work with various tools and equipment to ensure quality and timely completion of tasks while maintaining a professional relationship with customers.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or Vocational School or Equivalent preferred
  • 1 to 3 years in fluid power preferred
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude preferred
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints, fluid power, and electrical schematics/drawings
  • Valid driver's license, must be insurable with acceptable motor vehicle record

Nice To Haves

  • Fluid Power Technician Certification preferred
  • Computer Skills: MS Office 365
  • Skills taught after hire as needed: Product Training, Epicor Profit21 (Computer System) Training, ISO Training, Workplace Safety Training, Welding Process Training

Responsibilities

  • Build hydraulic power units according to engineering specifications
  • Troubleshoot hydraulic systems and components
  • Operate various tools such as saws, benders, mills, and drill presses
  • Use overhead cranes, hoists, and forklifts to assemble components
  • Drill and tap holes to industry standards
  • Assemble hydraulic components such as pumps, valves, filters, and heat exchangers
  • Route and install hydraulic hose, tubing, and fittings
  • Read and follow drawings, prints, and component installation instructions
  • Maintain a neat and clean work environment
  • Maintain a professional image and relationship with customers
  • Responsible for the quality of work performed
  • Complete tasks in a timely fashion
  • Support the Kundinger Quality Control process through compliance with Quality Management requirements, customer focus, and continual improvement.
