About The Position

The position involves conducting sales calls to both existing and potential clients to identify their hydraulic needs. The candidate will provide expert advice on hydraulic systems and products to customers, ensuring they receive the best solutions for their requirements. Responsibilities also include preparing and typing sales orders with a focus on accuracy and timely processing. The role requires on-site and shop repairs and replacements of hydraulic hoses and components, as well as diagnosing and troubleshooting hydraulic system issues to determine appropriate solutions. Routine maintenance and inspections on hydraulic systems are also part of the job, along with maintaining and organizing inventory of hydraulic parts and tools. The candidate will be responsible for ordering and restocking supplies to ensure the availability of essential items and ensuring the service truck is clean, organized, and stocked with necessary tools and parts. Additionally, performing routine checks and minor maintenance on the service vehicle is required to ensure optimal performance. Flexibility is key, as the candidate may need to work overtime and take on responsibilities not specifically identified in the job description for the betterment of the accounting department and Austin Hose. Communication and participation in intercompany communications using Microsoft Teams via company computer, Honeywell, and/or app is also expected.

Requirements

  • Strong sales and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  • Proficiency with basic computer applications for typing orders and managing inventory
  • Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
  • Must be in or willing to move to Dallas/Ft. Worth area
