About The Position

The Hydraulic Painter plays a critical role in ensuring the longevity and optimal performance of hydraulic systems by applying protective coatings and finishes to hydraulic components and equipment. The Hydraulic Painter works closely with maintenance and engineering teams to understand the specifications and requirements for each project, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Attention to detail and a thorough understanding of hydraulic systems are essential to achieve durable and effective paint applications. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in industrial painting, preferably with hydraulic or heavy machinery components.
  • Knowledge of surface preparation techniques and paint application methods.
  • Familiarity with safety standards related to painting and handling of hazardous materials.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and work orders.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in industrial painting or coatings application.
  • Experience working with hydraulic systems or in a manufacturing/maintenance environment.
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations related to paint and solvent use.
  • Ability to operate spray painting equipment and perform color matching.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of hydraulic machinery.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare hydraulic components and equipment surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking to ensure proper paint adhesion.
  • Select and mix paints, primers, and coatings suitable for hydraulic systems and environmental conditions.
  • Apply paints and coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment in accordance with technical specifications and safety guidelines.
  • Inspect painted surfaces for quality, uniformity, and defects, performing touch-ups or rework as necessary.
  • Maintain and clean painting tools and equipment to ensure operational readiness and safety.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams to understand project requirements and timelines.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, including the use of personal protective equipment and proper handling of hazardous materials.
