The position involves building, calibrating, and validating computer models for water and sewer systems to evaluate system performance. The role requires conducting hydraulic analyses to support master planning, capital improvement planning (CIP), and design projects. The engineer will prepare technical calculations, reports, and documentation in accordance with client specifications and industry standards. Additionally, the position entails identifying performance deficiencies in collection and distribution systems, forecasting future capacity issues, and recommending solutions. The engineer will execute project management tasks for modeling assignments, including scope development, budget tracking, and progress reporting. Quality control and quality assurance reviews on modeling deliverables and project documents are also part of the responsibilities. The engineer will provide updates to project managers and clients on modeling results, progress, and recommendations, mentor junior engineers and design staff, and participate in client meetings to present technical findings and deliver consultative support throughout project execution.
