Requirements

  • B.S. in Civil, Hydraulic, or Water Resources Engineering (M.S. preferred)
  • 5–10 years of relevant hydrology and hydraulics experience
  • E.I.T. required; P.E. license preferred or ability to obtain
  • Experience with: HEC-RAS (1D/2D) HEC-HMS GIS software CADD platforms
  • Working knowledge of floodplain mapping and hydraulic structure design
  • Strong analytical and technical writing skills
  • Interest in expanding into advanced modeling and dam safety work

Nice To Haves

  • M.S. preferred
  • P.E. license preferred or ability to obtain

Responsibilities

  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic modeling for water-related infrastructure projects
  • Conduct: Flood frequency and rainfall-runoff analysis HEC-HMS watershed modeling 1D/2D hydraulic modeling using HEC-RAS Dam break and inundation modeling Scour and erosion evaluations Sediment transport assessments (as applicable)
  • Assist in development of advanced CFD and numerical models (FLOW-3D, OpenFOAM, FLO-2D, etc.)
  • Prepare technical reports, modeling documentation, and figures
  • Support proposal development and preparation of scopes of work
  • Participate in project meetings and client coordination
  • Work collaboratively with senior engineers and multidisciplinary teams
