About The Position

Responsible for pulling, preparing and assembly of parts. Assist technicians during assigned jobs with needed tools, parts, etc. Mount and balance wheels and tires. Maintain a safe and clean working environment and personal workspace. Inspect unit for cleanliness/detailing prior to customer orientation appointment. Perform upkeep on inventory to ensure all units and/or parts stay in a sellable condition. Regularly clean work area and make sure all tools are put away in their proper location. Responsible for cleaning up shop, including breaking down boxes, throwing away trash, sweeping shop floor, etc. Ensure all customers receive the orientation folder with a thank you letter from La Mesa RV, important phone numbers, warranty information, tips & hints checklist and recommended service schedule. Assist with scheduling customer the first service appointment prior to them taking delivery of unit. Perform walk-thru of units with customers; explain key items in the unit, how to use them and how to handle malfunctioning equipment. Responsible for cleaning up shop, including breaking down boxes, throwing away trash, sweeping shop floor, etc. Adhere to all company policies, SOP’s and guidelines. Adhere to all quality, safety, policies, procedures, and reporting requirements. Other duties as assigned by Service Management.

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Desire and capability to learn the recreational vehicle maintenance industry
  • Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate with mechanics, customers and management
  • Requires ability to read, hear, speak, and comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructions & Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
