About The Position

The position is hybrid based, requiring two days on-site in Livonia and three days remote. It is a full-time, hourly role (40 hours per week) and is eligible for benefits including PTO. The role involves working with retirement and pension plans, which is highly preferred. The essential functions include supporting the Retirement Plan philosophy, investigating and resolving issues related to pension plan benefit programs, providing superior customer service, performing pension administration tasks, and collaborating with team members to improve processes. The position also requires maintaining confidentiality and adhering to applicable laws and regulations.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a Retirement administrative or support role.
  • Minimum of 2 years customer service experience in a high-volume work environment.
  • Strong administrative ability, including written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Windows, or related software.
  • Good keyboarding skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Typing skill of a minimum of 50 words per minute.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise limited discretion and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

  • Incorporate and demonstrate the mission, vision, and values of Trinity Health in leadership behaviors.
  • Support the Retirement Plan philosophy, mission, goals, and strategic plan.
  • Investigate and resolve issues related to pension plan benefit programs.
  • Provide prompt solutions and superior customer service to all inquiries.
  • Perform pension administration and retiree transactions in the pension administration system.
  • Process pension verifications, life insurance forms, and incoming mail.
  • Collaborate with other pension team members to resolve unique issues.
  • Review participant information for completion and accurate distribution of pension disbursement.
  • Identify information for data processing and secure appropriate legal documentation.
  • Perform duties associated with special and recurring projects as assigned.
  • Support co-workers in their absence to provide continuity of service.
  • Maintain confidentiality of department and participant information.
  • Ensure department standard 48-hour process is met daily.
  • Maintain knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws/regulations.
