About The Position

Responsible for the distribution of Transamerica’s mutual funds and exchange traded funds to the Registered Investment Advisor (RIA) associated with investment advisory firms in a defined territory.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business field or equivalent work experience
  • Five years of financial services industry experience, including three years working with RIAs
  • FINRA Series 7 and 63
  • Thorough understanding of investing, asset allocation, and capital markets to translate the value to advisors
  • Outstanding communication, interpersonal, problem solving, and relationship building skills
  • Ability to combine sophisticated listening skills with market acumen to anticipate and discover the needs and expectations of clients and propose suitable solutions through a consultative sales approach
  • Self-motivated and able to work as part of a team in a fast paced environment
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office tools

Responsibilities

  • Execute on business plans in conjunction with external sales partner(s) to meet key activity and sales metrics.
  • Reach out to prospective clients to grow Transamerica’s sales and market share.
  • Develop new business and maintain existing business relationships by conducting phone calls, email campaigns, webinars, in person sales meetings, and attending industry conferences.
  • Expand opportunities for Transamerica’s Mutual Funds and ETFs by leveraging current and new industry contacts.
  • Become a Transamerica product expert while maintaining a deep understanding of the competitive environment and positioning.
  • Manage expense budget.
  • Stay compliant with Transamerica rules, policies, and procedures.
