This is a challenging and rewarding position developing Hybrid Propulsion Systems as part of our effort to lead the electrification advancements at Ford Motor Company. Building on propulsion systems engineering fundamentals, this is an opportunity to help select and optimize the Hybrid Propulsion System for multiple propulsion architectures (xEV's) in various vehicle applications. You will be responsible for leading the propulsion systems application for multiple vehicle programs, working closely with vehicle engineering, program and propulsion unit teams to define and specify performance, efficiency (Fuel Economy /Range), thermal, battery durability and other propulsion relevant attributes & requirements for cascade to the propulsion unit teams and vehicle teams.

  • Develop Hybrid Propulsion Systems as part of electrification advancements.
  • Select and optimize the Hybrid Propulsion System for multiple propulsion architectures (xEV's).
  • Lead the propulsion systems application for multiple vehicle programs.
  • Work closely with vehicle engineering, program, and propulsion unit teams.
  • Define and specify performance, efficiency, thermal, battery durability, and other propulsion relevant attributes & requirements.
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Strong understanding of propulsion systems engineering fundamentals.
