About The Position

Actalent is hiring a PCB Designer for a reputable company, within Aerospace, Defense, Industrial industries, around the Newtown, PA area. Company offers full time benefits, as well as a flexible schedule (can work a hybrid schedule). The PCB Designer will be responsible for designing and performing layouts of digital and analog PCB Boards. This role requires expertise in PCB component placement, routing, and design release documentation. The designer will also be tasked with creating component footprints and symbols for the Master Component Library, maintaining PCB design processes, evaluating schematic design quality, and supporting schematic capture for layout conversion. Design reviews and documentation release are essential parts of this role.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in PCB design, Altium, Zuken, CADSTAR/eCADSTAR or other design packages/tools (required).
• Layer experience from 6-30 (required).
• Experience with layout of mixed analog and digital designs, high-power integrated circuits, DDR, DC-DC converters, and high-speed impedance-controlled traces.
• Knowledge of PCB manufacturing process and technologies.
• Experience with design for DFM/DFT.
• Experience with all design processes from concept to delivery.
• Experience with scripting and automation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routing of complex HDI PCBs.
• Design and perform layout of digital and analog PCB Boards.
• Conduct PCB component placement and routing.
• Prepare design release documentation for Printed Circuit Boards.
• Design component footprints and symbols for the Master Component Library.
• Maintain PCB design engineering processes.
• Evaluate the quality of schematic design and support schematic capture for layout conversion.
• Conduct design reviews and release design documentation.
