This is a hybrid position M-F 8am - 5pm, remote with at two on-site days at the KDG office located in Allentown, PA. KDG is looking for an experienced Accountant with their CPA and strong technology capabilities. As a professional services firm that focuses on technology and consulting, a large proportion of the client work that we work with requires an advanced level of accounting and tax knowledge in addition to strong capabilities with modern accounting software.

  • Accounting software conversions and implementations
  • Reviewing current books and making recommendations for cleanup and facilitating those recommendations
  • Performing the accounting software conversion/implementation process
  • Supporting the go live process once the data has been converted
  • Providing assistance and/or training during the initial stage of the client using the new software.
  • Facilitating possible transition based on client additional needs.
  • Accounting and tax advisory
  • Prepare and examine accounting records, tax records, sales tax and other tax collections, payments and processes, and other financial reporting.
  • Ability to analyze financial reports for business operations and budgeting/forecasting purposes.
  • Perform tax and non-tax reviews, tax filings, and ensuring adherence to standard requirements
  • Perform basic bookkeeping and GL maintenance
  • CPA or EA (Enrolled Agent) required
  • 5+ years experience in Accounting required with advisory experience
  • Deep knowledge of QuickBooks Online, QuickBooks Desktop, and (preferably) Zoho Books and Sage
  • Advanced Excel user
  • Exceptional problem solving, organizational, and prioritization skills required
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to lead projects and see them through to their completion with detailed communication along the way
  • Experience in software development, project management, or planning preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing, inventory and ERP systems a plus
