Hybrid Cloud Platform Engineer (PaaS)
About The Position
Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Hybrid Cloud Platform Engineer on a 10-year contract providing User Facing and Data Center Services supporting an Intelligence Community customer. All the personnel on the team will work together to support innovative design, engineering, procurement, implementation, operations, sustainment and disposal of user facing and data center information technology (IT) services on multiple networks and security domains, at multiple locations worldwide, to support the IC mission. The right candidate will possess the below skills and qualifications and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally.
Requirements
- Clearance Required: TS/SCI with ability to obtain a CI Poly.
- Degree and Years of Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 5-8 years Developer experience.
- Meet DoD 8570 IAT Level II requirements including one of the following: Security+ CE, CND, SSCP, GSEC, GICSP, CySA+, or CCNA.
- US Citizenship Required.
Nice To Haves
- Experience deploying and managing RedHat Open Shift in a cloud and/or vSphere environment.
- Experience with Amazon Web Services.
- Python, Shell scripting, Git.
- Linux distributions: RHEL/RHCOS, CentOS.
- CI/CD orchestration tools: GitLab CI, Jenkins.
- Container technology: Docker, Kubernetes, and Cloud Native Computing Foundation ecosystem in general.
Responsibilities
- Supports OpenShift operators and frameworks including Crossplane, Kyverno, RedHat GitOps.
- Deploys OpenShift to new sites as they come online.
- Works with internal and external teams to understand integration requirements and scale existing platforms to meet them.
- Works with Security to ensure ongoing compliance and develop secure solutions.
- Supports data services including RabbitMQ, Redis, PostgreSQL, Elastic Stack.
- Compiles detailed documentation.
