About The Position

Join the Heart & Vascular Institute (HVI) at Texas Medical Center, part of the nationally recognized Memorial Hermann Health System. We are seeking a Senior Practitioner (RN) to lead clinical education efforts within our Adult Cardiovascular Operating Rooms and Pre-op/PACU areas. This is an exciting opportunity to elevate practice through education and professional development in one of the most advanced cardiovascular care centers in the country.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required.
• Registered Nurse (RN) required.
• Two (2) years of nursing experience required.
• Three (3) years of education-related experience required.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s Degree in related field preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Nursing Professional Development (NPD) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, design, and implement educational programs for nursing staff in the Cardiovascular OR, Pre-op, and PACU settings.
• Support onboarding, competency validation, and continuing education initiatives.
• Collaborate with unit leadership, educators, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure evidence-based practice and high-quality patient care.
• Act as a clinical resource and mentor for staff, promoting a culture of lifelong learning.
